VDOT Service Technician

About the Role

The JF Petroleum Group is a leading provider of turn-key solutions in the North American fueling infrastructure industry, serving retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers. We are seeking a VDOT Service Technician with a wide range of skills to install, maintain, and repair various equipment found in service stations and convenience gas stations. This role requires travel throughout Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner, complying with fire safety, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Analyze and determine actions for service and repair of equipment.
• Perform necessary repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct factory-authorized modifications per specifications.
• Maintain tools required for performing the job effectively and safely.
• Follow customer’s safety and housekeeping guidelines when on-site.
• Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors.
• Perform after-hours service calls as needed.
• Conduct break-fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems.
• Provide quality customer service, ensuring all duties are completed cost-effectively.
• Obtain and maintain certifications from original equipment manufacturers.
• Assist lead technicians with start-up and commissioning of equipment on service projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with computer operations and aptitude for learning computer skills.
• Gilbarco Dispenser certification and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, and stand 8-10 hours per day.
• Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR (if driving for the company).
