VDC Project Engineer

We offer a wide range of services including Pre-Construction Consultation, Construction Management, Owner’s Representative, General Contracting, Design/Build, Value Engineering, Estimating & Purchasing, Commissioning, Scheduling & Lean Construction, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, VDC/BIM Coordination, and Sustainable Building. This entry-level position implements BIM and VDC technology to assist in the design and construction coordination process. Ideal candidate is a recent or upcoming graduate from an Architecture, Construction or Engineering program and possesses strong interpersonal skills, technical problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and enjoys working within a fast-paced innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, Mechanical EngineeringPrevious experience working in the AEC industry preferred but not required.

Skills

• Understanding of the main principles of architecture, engineering, and construction
• BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology
• Experience in Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD. Navisworks is also preferred, but not required
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, P6 and/or Synchro preferred, but not required
• Highly organized with ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Aptitude for working collaboratively with teams on projects
• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High level of professionalism, motivation, attention to detail
• Resilient, positive, and confident character

Responsibilities

• Review and audit 3D models from consultants and contractors in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks
• Manages BIM Construction Process and ensures BIM Execution Plan is being observed
• Conducts Clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
• Issue meeting agenda, minutes, and reports based on coordination
• Hold weekly coordination meeting with project team members
• Early design review and constructability analysis
• Manages/Updates the organization and distribution of BIM projects
• BIM and VDC Technology integration in the field
• Works alongside Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents to ensure projects are coordinated correctly and efficiently

Pay

Salary range: $70K-$90K yearly
