About the role
The VDC Manager 2 is responsible for managing the usage of VDC technologies for a given project or multiple projects, including the completion of any contractual requirements and utilizing the technology to maximize productivity and risk mitigation. This individual will ensure that the project(s) adhere to all VDC standards and any owner or design team requirements. The position entails managing all VDC-related team members and subcontractors involved in the virtual aspect of a given project. The VDC Manager is responsible for ensuring that the data produced in the virtual environment is implemented in the field properly and is communicated to all parties involved in the project accurately.
Major duties & responsibilities
- Manage the BIM coordination process and involved subcontractors, architects and designers of projects assigned.
- Develop the project-specific BIM execution plan and contract attachments and oversee the plan throughout the project.
- Develop the VDC section of the Project Execution Planning for your projects.
- Distribution of all model files to/from the parties involved.
- Reviewing and submitting all coordinated MEP drawings and submittals to the design team.
- Reviewing all proposed change orders related to MEP subcontractors or other 3D integrated trades.
- Managing the coordinated and approved model for final submission and approval by the design team.
- Distribution of the final model files to MCC personnel and subs involved for use in the field.
- QAQC support and field documentation follow-up for post-coordination and system installations.
- Provide oversight on projects Senior VDC Engineers and VDC Engineers are running and provide advice from experience, as needed.
- Provide corporate training for VDC processes and assist in maintaining VDC training videos in Cornerstone.

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent
- May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis
- 12 years of industry experience
