VDC Engineer

Responsibilities
- Setup and manage VDC/BIM coordination process directing sub-contractor teams and keeping projects on schedule
- Create videos, animations, 2D & 3D graphics for interview presentations, marketing materials, and other project needs
- Support estimating with quantity take-offs and modeling
- Train staff on VDC programs and workflows
- Create site logistics models and drawings for field verification
- Create 4D Scheduling animations from construction schedules
- Absorb and scan construction sites for laser scanning
- Support project teams with BIM 3D Models
- Manage models for design team changes and issuances
- Ensure compliance with company VDC standards
- Document technology utilization for lessons learned and process improvement
Requirements
- 1-6 years of experience in Design or Construction Industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Construction Management/Engineering, with preference in Architecture
- Proficient with Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup, with additional skills in Synchro, Assemble, Twinmotion, Faro Scene, Recap, and Illustrator
- Interest in new and emerging design and construction technologies
- Experience working through design coordination with MEP engineers
- Understanding of building code and ADA requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members including architects, engineers, sub-contractors, and owners
- Strong understanding of construction documentation procedures and coordination process
- Experience working on varying project types (healthcare, higher education, residential, commercial, hospitality, office)
- Some travel to local area project jobsites and teams required
Compensation Details
Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000
