VDC / BIM Project Specialist

About the role
This is a remote role supporting the Commercial Virtual Design & Construction team. The VDC Project Specialist facilitates the execution of VDC projects, coordinating and communicating with internal and external collaborators, managing project priorities, tracking schedules, and ensuring deliverables are sent to external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish project objectives.
- Conduct internal and external meetings to align all parties on project specifics.
- Track and manage project schedules using software tools and department SOPs.
- Balance project direction from external stakeholders with internal capabilities.
- Maintain Navisworks coordination models to provide modelers with necessary project information.
- Track and request critical project-related information (RFIs, Submittals, CCD/Revisions) and distribute it to the project team.
- Review and assess contract document revisions for potential cost impact and distribute associated change order requests.
- Perform pre-QC of project deliverables before distribution to the quality control team.
- Manage client expectations and ensure the project team executes within the established scope of work.
- Maintain the budgeted labor allocation for the project.
- Identify and report the overall health of the project, flagging potential issues and proposing solutions.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 4 years of VDC experience, including at least 2 years planning/managing the overall VDC scope of work for projects in Healthcare, Education, Industrial, Municipal, or Multi-use sectors.
- Solid VDC/BIM acumen and experience leading VDC and BIM projects.
- Proficiency in utilizing and instructing on BIM and VDC coordination processes and workflows at an advanced level.
- Ability to create and manage BIM schedules.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work without direct supervision.
- Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Detailed knowledge of current construction delivery methods, practices, and documentation.
- Ability to actively listen, mentally visualize, and produce detailed 2D, 3D, 4D, or 5D deliverables for internal and external clients.
- Acute knowledge of Navisworks coordination principles.
- Strong attention to detail relating to project scope.

Pay
Actual pay rate may vary depending on location and candidate qualifications. The estimated pay range for this position is:
- Monthly: $4,799.70 – $9,075.00 (for salaried roles).
- Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
Ferguson complies with all wage regulations, and the starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state requirements.
