Qualifications

• A current - valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic math skills for handling transactions
• Requires constant standing - walking - and frequent bending
• Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted
• One year of experience in the service industry is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with retail software and point-of-sale systems is a plus

Duties

• Assists customer in locating products & provides detailed information to enhance their shopping experience
• Handles sales transactions efficiently using a cash register - ensuring accuracy & customer satisfaction
• Restocks merchandise and ensures products are properly labeled for display
• Maintains a clean & organized store environment - ensuring a pleasant & efficient shopping experience
• Performs other duties as assigned
