About the role

Perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams, demonstrating technical proficiency and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging. Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and patients to provide education and maintain safety throughout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams
• Conduct echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams safely and efficiently
• Document results accurately
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
• Provide patient education and ensure safety during procedures

Requirements

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
• BLS certification
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Skills

• Sonography expertise in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound
• Clinical care and patient instruction
• Technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment
• Time management and organizational skills
• Effective communication with patients and healthcare teams

Physical requirements

• Manual dexterity for operating equipment
• Ability to lift and position patients
• Walking and standing for extended periods
• Occasional driving may be required
