Job Requirements
- Performs a variety of routine and specialized noninvasive vascular blood flow tests.
- Obtains a basic vascular history, documents clinical indications for the test, and provides patient explanations.
- Performs upper or lower extremity arterial Doppler exams, venous duplex exams, arterial duplex exams, carotid duplex examinations, bypass graft evaluations, aorto-iliac duplex, IVC-iliac duplex, mesenteric artery duplex, hepato-portal duplex, renal duplex, hemodialysis access evaluations, and transcranial Doppler testing.
- Greets and receives patients in the vascular lab and interviews/reviews patient medical records.
- Generates preliminary interpretations for referring providers and contacts them with critical findings.
- Completes EPIC and VascuPro workflows, including patient check-in, exam start/end, billing confirmation, and preliminary findings documentation.
- Interacts with biomedical engineering personnel and external medical service representatives on technical matters.
- Maintains current credentials and technical expertise through participation in professional activities and literature.
- Trains surgical residents, vascular and cardiology fellows, and ultrasound students in vascular testing methods and procedures.
- Mentors Level I technologists and participates in vascular research projects.
- Produces case study posters or presentations for lab staff and manages process improvement projects.

General Summary
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine and specialized noninvasive vascular blood flow tests.
Principal Responsibilities And Tasks
- Performs basic and specialized noninvasive vascular testing, at the request of various providers.
- Greets and receives patients in the vascular lab and reviews patient medical records.
- Interviews patients or reviews medical records to obtain a vascular history and explains procedures/tests.
- Generates preliminary interpretations for referring providers and contacts them with critical findings.
