Responsibilities
- Perform safe, timely, and accurate ultrasound studies, including but not limited to Abdominal Aortic, Carotid Extracranial, Hemodialysis Access, Saphenous Vein Mapping, Arm Mapping (Venous/Arterial), Renal Artery, and arterial ultrasound of both the upper and lower extremities.
- Provide high-quality exams for diagnostic, therapeutic, and operative purposes.
- Maintain the current accreditations of both the vascular laboratory and the vein center.
- Ensure that the requirements from the accredited bodies are upheld throughout the practice.
Requirements
- Must hold or obtain current licensure as an RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Competent in scanning non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies.
- Be able to demonstrate specific normal anatomy and abnormal pathology.
- Computer skills; Electronic medical records software.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Creativity, problem analysis, and decision making.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist).
