Vascular Neurology Opportunity in Greenville, NC

About the role

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Neurology-Greenville, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a Vascular Neurologist to join their stroke team. The successful candidate will provide both inpatient and tele-stroke patient care. ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed Level I Trauma Center, serves as the regional leader for Neurosciences and is the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in eastern North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient stroke care
• Deliver tele-stroke patient care

Requirements

• ABPN board certified or eligible
• US vascular neurology fellowship or vast experience in vascular neurology required

Facility and team

• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive stroke center
• Academic appointment with East Carolina University at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor
• Established clinical neuroscience team of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20+ neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 neurointensivists and 13 subspecialty neurologists
• Subspecialties include pediatric neurology, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache, neuromuscular, sleep medicine, intraoperative monitoring and neuro-oncology
• Large team of inpatient and outpatient Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants

Schedule

• 7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off schedule with 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights
• Tele-stroke during night shifts
• No call
• Inpatient stroke shift is consult only with no admission or discharge responsibilities
