About the role
The successful candidate will be integral to the operations of a world-renowned stroke neurology team at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. This exceptional opportunity offers outstanding prospects for a fellowship-trained vascular neurologist interested in working in a high-volume practice at the forefront of the field of vascular neurology.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a broad spectrum of vascular neurological conditions within our high-volume practice.
- Providing expert clinical care within our world-renowned stroke neurology team, enhancing our DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center operations.
- Collaborating closely with a large team of clinicians specializing in stroke neurology, neuroimaging, neurocritical care, neurointervention, and neurosurgery.
- Executing acute stroke research, including artificial intelligence, device, stem cell, and other pharma clinical trials, with exceptional clinical research support.
- Managing inpatient stroke patient care through a shift work schedule, with potential for outpatient stroke clinic involvement.
- Utilizing expertise in shared services between acute stroke and general neurology, with a heavy emphasis on stroke diagnosis and secondary stroke prevention.
- Participating in Academic & Growth Opportunities, including teaching and/or research on a local, regional, or national level, supported by our strong academic affiliation.
- Fostering strong collaborations on clinical and research protocols nationally through our direct tie to CommonSpirit Health.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board-eligible/Board-certified in Neurology
- Completed a Vascular Neurology fellowship program
- Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Tennessee
- Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications
