Vascular Access Nurse Consultant - PICC RN

Job Description

You will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current license
• American Heart BLS Certification
• Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
• Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
• Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
• Must possess a smart phone
• MUST LOVE vascular access!

Training and Experience Requirements

• Ideal candidates are experienced in both ultrasound guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions
• Training available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience
• Priority given to fully trained vascular access nurses, but additional training available for those with strong USGIV skills
