Vascular Access Nurse Consultant
VTP ("VIC the PICC") specializes in vascular access consulting services for acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home healthcare providers. Services include vascular access device insertion, post-access support, continuing education, and precepting.
About the role
VTP provides on-site and mobile vascular access support services across the Western and Southern United States. The company aims to deliver innovative, affordable, and easily accessible services while maintaining high levels of client and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Resolve venous access issues to support the physician’s treatment objectives
- Work with clinical teams to address vascular access challenges
- Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
- Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
- Assist with the management of vascular access devices
- Provide vascular access support services such as port access, line removal, declotting, etc.
- Educate facility nursing staff on various vascular access devices
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current license
- American Heart BLS Certification
- Experience in VAD management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
- Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements
- Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel
- Smartphone
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
- Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
- Prior vascular access or PICC experience preferred

Pay
$40 - $60 USD hourly
Schedule
Full-time schedule includes three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.
