This is an opportunity for a seasoned coach to take the reins of a competitive, well-supported program and build on a strong foundation — one that includes committed club-level athletes, a talented and deep roster, and an athletic department investing seriously in its future. About The Program Winsor Field Hockey competes at a high level within the EIL and NEPSAC and has a history of developing athletes who go on to compete collegiately. Our players are dedicated, training at the club level outside the school season, and our program benefits from strong institutional support, quality facilities, and an administration committed to helping coaches succeed. What We're Looking For We're seeking a coach who brings both technical expertise and leadership — someone who can elevate the level of play while also mentoring young women through the personal growth that comes with competitive athletics. The ideal candidate has: Significant experience coaching field hockey at the varsity, collegiate, or club levelA track record of developing individual athletes while building team culture and cohesionStrong communication skills with players, families, and administrationFamiliarity with, or willingness to learn, the recruiting and college placement process, given the program's history of athletes advancing to play in collegeA coaching philosophy grounded in both competitive excellence and the holistic development of student-athletes Season Details Practices begin Tuesday, September 1, and conclude November 21, 2026Practices are held Monday through Friday, 3:30–5:30 PMGames are scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays, with occasional Saturdays Responsibilities Lead all aspects of the varsity program, including practice planning, game strategy, and season-long player developmentCollaborate with the Director of Athletics and Assistant Coach(es) to build a cohesive program across all levelsSupport student-athletes pursuing collegiate opportunities, including communication with college coaches as appropriateUphold Winsor's standards for sportsmanship, safety, and athlete well-beingAttend required coaches' meetings, trainings, and certifications To Apply Interested candidates should email a resume to Katrina Hable, Director of Athletics, at khable@winsor.edu, or call 617-912-1341.
