About the role
We are looking for an early childhood education teacher to join Pilke Satakieli, a multicultural daycare where different languages, cultures, and families are a natural part of everyday life. The role offers an opportunity to work as a classroom teacher and also as an assistant director. If the leadership duties do not appeal to you, you may apply for the position as a teacher only.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the group's pedagogical activities together with your team
- Design and deliver high-quality, goal-oriented pedagogy
- Support children's growth, learning, participation, and well-being
- Build a safe and positive learning environment
- Utilise play, exercise, nature, and children's interests as part of activities
- Work closely with guardians and other staff
- Take into account children's varying support needs
- Develop the daycare's pedagogical culture together with the entire unit
Assistant director duties (optional)
- Support the daycare's pedagogical quality and daily flow together with the daycare director
- Organise the daily schedule, adjust work shifts, and manage substitution arrangements
- Develop operations, support staff, and build joint working practices
Qualifications
- Early childhood education teacher qualification (kelpoisuus) as required by the Early Childhood Education Act
- Valid criminal record extract must be presented upon selection
