About the role
As a Melter, you are an integral part of a successful team responsible for manufacturing titanium electrodes primarily used in the aerospace industry. During the melting process, you will set up and operate furnaces for production of various Titanium and Titanium alloy ingots. You will work in a controlled environment and rotate to the production floor every few hours to perform general maintenance activities. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing furnaces, performing preoperative and set-up duties such as loading electrodes, closing and evacuating the furnace, and inspecting equipment following standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate furnaces for production of Titanium and Titanium alloy ingots
- Rotate to the production floor to perform general maintenance activities
- Clean and prepare furnaces for operation
- Perform preoperative and set-up duties, including loading electrodes and closing/evacuating the furnace
- Inspect equipment following standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Dependability and strong attention to detail

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience (preferred)
- At least one (1) year of heavy equipment operation (e.g., forklift or overhead crane) (preferred)
Skills
- Basic math skills
- Mechanical knowledge
- Moderate computer knowledge, with the ability to manipulate data using various programs
