About the role
The After School Sports and VAPA Coach Program at Elevo is designed to support student well-being through structured, engaging activities in sports and visual and performing arts. Coaches lead K–8 students in activities using Elevo’s curriculum, manage group dynamics, and support positive student behavior.
Responsibilities
- Lead structured, engaging activities in sports and visual and performing arts for K–8 students
- Manage group dynamics and support positive student behavior
- Partner with school staff and fellow coaches to create a welcoming program environment
- Show up consistently as a role model who helps students build confidence and social skills
Requirements
- Experience coaching, playing sports, working in education, or leading youth in any setting
- Lead by example as a confident, positive role model students want to follow
- Bring energy and presence that holds a group of up to 20 students’ attention
- Stay calm and empathetic when managing behavior or redirecting a tough moment
- Build trust quickly with students, families, and school staff
- Show up consistently as a role model who helps students build confidence and social skills
- Run activities on time and adapt on the fly when plans shift
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and school partners
Qualifications

Skills
- Ability to engage in constant movement and physical activity
- Ability to move safely on irregular and/or uneven terrain on a regular basis

Pay
$20 per hour
Schedule
Monday: 9:20am - 12:55pm
Tuesday: 9:20am - 12:55pm
Wednesday: 9:20am - 12:55pm
Thursday: 9:20am - 12:55pm
Friday: No work
Saturday: No work
Additional Requirements
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Pass Live Scan Background check and TB screening
- 18+
- High school diploma or GED
