VAPA Program Facilitator

About the role

The After School VAPA Program Facilitator program at Elevo runs from August 17, 2026 to July 11, 2027. The schedule includes four to five 4.5-5.75 hour shifts per day, Monday through Friday, with no work on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured, engaging activities in sports and visual and performing arts for K–8 students using Elevo’s curriculum.
• Manage group dynamics and support positive student behavior.
• Partner with school staff and fellow coaches to create a welcoming program environment.
• Show up consistently as a role model who helps students build confidence and social skills.

Requirements

• Experience coaching, playing sports, working in education, or leading youth in any setting.
• Ability to lead by example as a confident, positive role model students want to follow.
• To bring energy and presence that holds a group of up to 20 students' attention.
• To stay calm and empathetic when managing behavior or redirecting a tough moment.
• To build trust quickly with students, families, and school staff.
• To run activities on time and adapt on the fly when plans shift.
• To collaborate with fellow coaches and school partners.
• To be motivated by Elevo's mission to support student well-being.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Passes Live Scan Background check and TB screening.
• Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be physically capable of engaging in the following activities with or without a reasonable accommodation:
• Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or move from one place to another frequently.
• Sitting or standing for long periods.
• Occasional running and other strenuous physical activity.
• Moving safely on irregular and/or uneven terrain on a regular basis.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.
• Positive attitude and ability to motivate students.

Pay

$20 per hour.

Monday: 12:15pm - 6:00pm
Tuesday: 12:15pm - 6:00pm
Wednesday: 12:15pm - 6:00pm
Thursday: 12:15pm - 6:00pm
Friday: 12:15pm - 6:00pm
Saturday: No work
