Van Driver - Bartlett, IL

About the Role

Get Fresh Produce, a FreshEdge LLC company, operates a modern distribution fleet of 125 fully refrigerated trucks, all maintained and fueled on-site. Our drivers use individual tablets to process deliveries electronically, track routes and hours of service, and communicate with the team. We focus on consistency in customer service, quality, food safety, reporting, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Hand unload and deliver freight to restaurants using a hand-cart/2-wheel dolly and ramps
• Drive throughout the Midwest within a ~250-mile radius of Bartlett, IL
• Flexibility with route changes
• Lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs with no assistance
• Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a Class D license (CDL drivers are also encouraged to apply)
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must live within 40 miles of Bartlett, IL or be willing to relocate
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Skills

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable with hand unloading and delivery using hand-carts/ramps
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Flexibility with route changes

Pay

Hourly base rate determined by license type:

• Class D Day Shift: $19.50/hour

Overtime paid after 40 hours worked. Average workweek: 40-55 hours. Paid via direct deposit weekly.

Schedule

• 5-day workweek: Monday - Saturday (Saturday is a full, mandatory workday)
• Off: Sunday and one other day during the week
• Day shift start time: Typically 7:00 AM (may vary)
• Home daily or nightly
