Van Driver

About the role

Drives non-CDL vehicle to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distance points according to time schedule.

Schedule

Part-Time Shift: 25 Hours a Week

Pay

Wage: $18.50

Responsibilities

• Follows regularly assigned routes and schedules; immediately reports any changes to the Director.
• Exercises extreme care and judgment in driving habits.
• Maintains record keeping of:
  • Passenger census and attendance
  • Log of pick up and drop off times
  • Incidents occurring on vehicle
• Notifies Transportation Office of scheduled passenger's absences and vehicle's condition.
• Assists passengers in entry/exit from agency vehicles or in transferring from one vehicle to another.

Requirements

• Prefer high school diploma/GED
• Licensed appropriately for vehicle to be used
• Clean driving record
• Responsible attitude
• NYS Driver’s License with 12 months driving experience
