About the role
This position supports the transportation of patients from various locations to the Hospital campus and other designated locations.
Responsibilities
- Safely and timely transport patients to the Hospital campus and other designated locations.
- Maintain a daily log of mileage and gasoline usage and submit all gas receipts to the appropriate person(s).
- Clean the interior of the car on a regular basis to ensure the vehicle is presentable for patient transport.
- Maintain mileage records for scheduling routine maintenance.
- Ensure patients are supervised, safety is maintained at all times, and patients are treated with respect and dignity.
- Employ appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required and according to policy and procedure.
- Shuttle patients to appropriate places approved by the appropriate supervisor.
- Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Monitor vehicle condition, record malfunctioning items or damage, and submit to the manager.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years paid or volunteer professional driving experience.
- Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance.
- Valid CDL preferred, three (3) years driving commercially preferred.

Pay
Base compensation, plus comprehensive benefits package.
