Van Driver

About the Role

As a Driver/Bellperson, you will drive the van to and from the airport according to scheduled runs and assist guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. This full-time position involves handling luggage, supporting the Front Desk Team, and performing various guest services.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage carts.
• Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services and amenities (e.g., hours of outlets, pool, exercise room).
• Explain features of the room, including operation of radio, television, telephone, and in-room movie system.
• Check and store luggage for arrivals and departures using luggage tags.
• Deliver messages to meeting rooms.
• Deliver flowers, laundry, and packages to guestrooms.
• Assist with room changes.
• Maintain current listings of local and area attractions, special events, and activities.
• Maintain a list of local transportation guides, churches, and sports arenas.
• Assist Houseperson with guest requests.
• Ensure the lobby reader board is correct.
• Provide information, maps, and directions as required.
• Answer phones to assist guest service agents.
• Show guestrooms and suites as needed, emphasizing the hotel’s amenities.
• Support Housekeeping and Front Office operations with miscellaneous tasks.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required; experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Must not have any moving violations on driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Flexible and long hours may be required.
• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.

Pay

Pay range: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour. The base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
