About the role

Kauai Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Waimea, near Eleele and Lihue, on the west side of Kauai Island. The facility collaborates with residents, their families, and medical providers to support recovery and develop personalized plans for faster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and timely transportation of residents to appointments and activities.
• Assist with wheelchair locking and seatbelt fastening.
• Inspect vehicle wear items daily, maintain license tags, inspection & trip logs.
• Clean vehicle interior and exterior regularly.
• Owe driving laws and ensure appointment timeliness.

Requirements

• Timely and dependable.
• Display cleanliness and a well-groomed personal appearance.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Possess a driver's license in good standing and the ability to obtain a CDL as required (based on size of vehicle).

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with older adults preferred but not required.

Skills

• Driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain a CDL if required based on vehicle size.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
