Van Driver

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with Route Supervisor.
• Monitor all gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure proper function; report any issues to the Route Supervisor immediately.
• Fulfill all assigned route pickups daily.
• Operate hydraulic controls and tarp loads when required.
• Operate tipper at landfill.
• Drop and hook trailers daily as needed.
• Back and navigate truck in tight spaces.
• Ensure loads adhere to DOT load securement requirements.
• Clean interior of truck as needed.
• Notify Route Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage immediately.
• Operate truck in all weather conditions and work environments.
• Notify Route Supervisor or dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways, or any potential safety hazards.
• Knowledge of proper DOT loading, transportation, and shipping procedures for commodities.
• Maintain a verified and unexpired Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a safe driving record.
• Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
• Follow all company safety guidelines.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
