Responsibilities
- Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate with Route Supervisor.
- Monitor all gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure proper function; report any issues to the Route Supervisor immediately.
- Fulfill all assigned route pickups daily.
- Operate hydraulic controls and tarp loads when required.
- Operate tipper at landfill.
- Drop and hook trailers daily as needed.
- Back and navigate truck in tight spaces.
- Ensure loads adhere to DOT load securement requirements.
- Clean interior of truck as needed.
- Notify Route Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage immediately.
- Operate truck in all weather conditions and work environments.
- Notify Route Supervisor or dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways, or any potential safety hazards.
- Knowledge of proper DOT loading, transportation, and shipping procedures for commodities.
- Maintain a verified and unexpired Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a safe driving record.
- Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
- Follow all company safety guidelines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
