About the role
Drive a passenger van over designated routes in accordance with established time schedules to transport students to district locations.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport EPS students
- District labor duties required when not driving
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisors of Maintenance/Transportation
Qualifications
- Have and maintain a current PA valid driver’s license (CDL - S endorsement –P/Air Brakes) and be insurable by the District’s Insurance Company, preferred.
- In absence of CDL, selected candidate must agree to pursue CDL license and endorsements with PennDOT.
- Five (5) years driving experience with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass physical examination
- Able to drive and maintain passenger van
- Able to lift eighty (80) pounds
- Must be bondable
- Able to do repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
- Able to do repetitive stooping, kneeling and crouching
- Able to do repetitive reaching and handling of heavy materials and/or equipment
- Possess current satisfactory performance evaluations
- Professional tact, diplomacy and flexibility with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the community
- Knowledge, skills and experience related to working with young children
Salary
Per Local 95 Master Contract
