Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and other scheduled destinations.
- C Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation of the facility van.
- Operate the vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and facility policies.
- Maintain punctuality and ensure residents arrive at appointments on time.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including the use of wheelchairs, seat belts, and other mobility equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with facility staff regarding transportation schedules and changes.
- A Adapt to daily schedule changes and appointment fluctuations.
- R Report vehicle maintenance concerns, accidents, incidents, or other issues promptly.
Qualifications
- A Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
- E Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A Ability to work independently and manage a changing schedule.
- C Strong communication and customer service skills.
- D Dependable, professional, and resident-focused.
- A Ability to assist residents safely during transportation.
Preferred Experience
- M Minimum of one (1) year of van driving, transportation, or related experience preferred.
- S Experience working with seniors, healthcare, or long-term care residents is a plus.
