Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team! As a Van Driver with Allure of Peru, you will be responsible for providing safe and secure transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers, and private residences. Responsibilities: Provide high-level customer service while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outingsAssist residents with boarding and leaving the bus, securing wheelchairs and walkers, and assisting with groceries and packagesMonitor resident safety at all times, ensuring their well-being and comfort during travelPerform general upkeep of the vehicle, including fueling, conducting preventative maintenance, and delivering the vehicle to authorized service facilitiesMaintain accurate records of vehicle usage, including daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and vehicle cleanlinessFollow all safety procedures and protocols, reporting any hazardous conditions, defective equipment, or accidents/incidents to the supervisor immediatelyCommunicate effectively with facility staff regarding schedule progress and receive additional instructionsUnderstand how to operate GPS, Two-Way Radio, and/or Cell Phone to navigate effectivelyMaintain accurate activity and vehicle report logs Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferredActive Illinois Driver's License requiredDriver's License requirements are determined by the size of the vehicle (Class C or E)No driver under the age of twenty-five (25) or over the age of seventy-four (74)DOT compliant physicalExperience as a bus or van driver preferredAbility to communicate effectively, orally and in writingAbility to communicate effectively with residents Physical Demands: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workdayMust be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feetMust be able to push/pull up to 275 pounds to a minimum distance of 50 feetMay be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderateThe employee is in and out of a vehicle daily and exposed to outdoor weather conditions that varyThe employee is sometimes subject to emotionally upset residents or family members Salary: $15 - $18 HOURLY If you are a motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
