About the role
This position is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from their destinations, providing information and luggage assistance in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. You will anticipate guest needs, exceed expectations, and implement creative solutions to provide exceptional service while adhering to high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport guests to and from their destinations, including providing luggage assistance.
- Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner, ensuring the highest level of service.
- Assist and direct guests by sharing knowledge of the hotel property, amenities, local area, and hours of operation for hotel outlets and services.
- Work as a team player to meet guest needs and actively contribute to the efforts of other departments.
- Follow the CSM guest service recovery program.
- Complete all required logs and safety checks of the vehicles.
- Ensure the vehicle has gas, is clean and presentable by removing trash, and arranging periodic car washes.
- Responsible for the proper use, basic maintenance, and cost control of the hotel vehicle, equipment, and supplies.
- Plan routes to avoid unnecessary trips.
- Operate the hotel vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable traffic laws.
- Complete preventive maintenance, DOT, and required safety equipment checks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow all CSM procedures for guest and associate incidents.
- Know hotel emergency procedures and the location of the van insurance card.
- Report all traffic violations or accidents to management immediately.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to produce the required volume of work.
- Adhere to CSM general work rules and department procedures.
- Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
Requirements
- Prior hotel and/or related guest service experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Current and valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Appropriate class of driver’s license based on hotel vehicle requirements.
- Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age for insurance purposes.
Pay
$17.00 per hour
