Requirements / Qualifications

• Two Letters of Recommendation
• Class C California Driver's License
• Education: Equivalent to the completion of high school.
• Successful completion of a district van driving training program (in-house).
• Experience: Three (3) years of California Class C Licensed driving experience.
• Open recruitment to create an eligibility list.

Other Conditions Of Employment

The goal of the Van Driver is to obtain training for, and obtain, an unrestricted Special Driving Certificate to drive a Type 2 school bus with an Automatic Transmission within six (6) months of hire. Please see the Van Driver job description for any further details.

Examination Procedures

Following the recruitment closing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated. Those who pass screening will be invited to participate in a written examination (date TBD). Those who pass the written examination will be invited to a Performance and Interview Panel with subject matter experts (date TBD). Based on the final scores, a ranked candidate list will be established. Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a final interview with the hiring administrator. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.
