Valve Technician (PRD)

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Valve Technician. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly of all automated packages
• Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product
• Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center
• Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel
• Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages
• Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs
• Assist with developing automated valve sales training program
• Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data
• Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics
• Valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred
• Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control
• Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere
• Possess a positive attitude
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• A self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed
• Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate
• Ability to learn quickly

Pay

Pay Range: $15.67 - $23.50 (hourly). This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm + OT as needed
