Valve Assembler II

Position Summary

Assemble and test a wide range of reducing and pressure control valves. Follow IOM manual and interruption test instructions, applying safety practices during test setup. Work in a team environment meeting quality standards and efficiency. Maintain the work area using 6S methods. Overtime is required at times.

Principal Activities

• Perform specified assembly on company product based on IOM instructions.
• Mount or set up units or components to be tested per engineering specifications.
• Check the test setup, piping, and fixtures for leaks and pressure ratings and document test data.
• Make necessary adjustments to the product during testing.
• Comply with established time standards and safety practices.
• Maintain work‑area equipment and supplies to ensure a 6S work environment.
• Identify issues arising from the assembly line and develop solutions.
• Report to the supervisor any issues that cannot be resolved.

Candidate Requirements

• Test experience.
• Able to interpret instructions and troubleshoot.
• Able to read drawings.
• Able to use hand tools, including impact wrenches.
• Knowledge of problem solving.
• EHS awareness.
• Flexibility to work overtime.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
• 2+ years of test experience.
• U.S. citizenship.
