About the role

At Exotic Metals Forming Division (EMFD), the Value Stream Planner is an experienced member of a Value Stream Manufacturing team. This position collaborates with others to plan and execute manufacturing programs and build plans, ensuring on-time conforming product delivery. Responsibilities

  • Execute daily production control tasks, including ship reports and input material releases.
  • Analyze sales orders within the planning lead time to ensure material availability for scheduled orders.
  • Support the value stream by planning manufacturing build plans and troubleshooting exceptions to product flow.
  • Perform analysis to identify trends, drivers, and issues in production planning; initiate countermeasures to resolve issues and develop capability.
  • Organize and manage multiple conflicting projects while troubleshooting and recommending solutions.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external supplier replenishment methods.
  • Manage discrepant and stranded inventory to minimize work in process.
  • Monitor, report, and update MRB work center manufacturing work orders until returned to standard shop flow.
  • Actively participate in Lean process improvement and projects.
  • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and Value Stream Support team to resolve root causes of production downtime.
  • Execute basic program plans with follow-up accuracy in record-keeping and communications.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or another technical field.
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in a high-volume, low-mix environment.
  • Use of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
  • Understanding of how to apply Lean in a Job Shop (such as QRM) or mid-volume repetitive operations (such as Value Stream).
  • Proven ability to demonstrate good judgment and make effective decisions based on facts.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products, with extensive experience in Excel.
  • Minimal project management experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in operational or manufacturing environments; familiarity with the Theory of Constraints is a plus.

Pay

Pay Range: $70,890 to $117,300 annually. Participation in the Annual Incentive Program.
