About the Role
The Value Stream Lead (VSL) supports a production and depot manufacturing environment at the Raytheon Diné Facility in Farmington, New Mexico. The successful candidate will report to a Factory Support Manager and be accountable for the daily readiness and management of up to 20+ employees within one shift. The VSL will assist test associates and production employees, ensuring they are trained, compliant, and equipped to maintain production rates. This role requires the ability to work extended hours in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience in both manufacturing and technical leadership, providing valuable floor insight to cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Test Equipment, etc.). RTX Diné Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in recruitment and hiring practices.
Responsibilities
- Drive goals and accountability within the production cell
- Workforce planning and forecasting
- Employee hiring, training, and performance management (unit hour performance)
- Area layout and flow management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Operate within contractual requirements in a multi-production environment
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship (required for access to program/contract information)
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience
- Experience in manufacturing or operations
- Supervisory or managerial experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
- Experience executing assembly and/or test operations
- Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices/instructions
- Superior communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing line balancing and labor management (attendance, employee relations, performance)
- Ability to create/sustain a fair and equitable work environment
- Experience with learning manufacturing applications and test processes
- Knowledge of Raytheon execution systems (PRISM, SAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Office) applications: Edge, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word
- Ability to develop solutions to problems of medium scope and complexity
- Knowledge of sequencing fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and other manufacturing operations
- Excellent team skills
Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
