About the role
Initio Sphere is a full-service private capital ecosystem that integrates deal flow, valuation and analytical talent, investor relations, training, and job placement into a single platform. The Valuations Analyst role is not a traditional employment position; instead, analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through the certification and verification process.
Compensation
Compensation ranges from $50–$200/hour, based on Analyst Rating Score, credentials, and approval level.
What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)
- Valuation Analysis & Fair Value Support
- Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis
- Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
- Football field and valuation summary materials
- Valuation and transaction-related support
- Purchase price allocation (PPA) and financial reporting support
- Scenario, sensitivity, and downside valuation analysis
- Transaction & Investment Support
- Independent valuation support for acquisitions, exits, and capital raises
- Valuation inputs for investment committee and investor materials
- Review and challenge of assumptions used in operating and financial models
- Market, industry, and multiple benchmarking analysis
Certification & Eligibility
- To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
- Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training
- Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
Certification Tiers
- Senior Valuations Analyst: Rating Score 90–100, Pay Range $150–200/hour
- Lead Valuations Analyst: Rating Score 80–89, Pay Range $100–150/hour
- Valuations Analyst / Associate Analyst: Rating Score 60–79, Pay Range $50–100/hour
