Essential Duties
- Prepares sections of the appraisal report for dispute resolution, mortgage underwriting, acquisition/disposition, portfolio analysis and estate purposes.
- Collects and analyzes specific property information including leases, rent rolls, and financial statements.
- Inspects properties with senior staff members and develops skills to complete valuation sections of appraisal reports.
- Develops into preparing complete appraisal reports under the supervision of state certified general appraisers.
- Participates in client meetings and completes formal rebuttal or review response letters.
- Completes coursework to obtain state appraisal license.
- Maintains knowledge of current government regulations, zoning laws, and appraisal standards.
- Uses necessary software programs and maintains familiarity with data sources.
Skills, Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in real estate or related fields such as economics and finance.
- Preference for MS or MBA in real estate.
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience in real estate analysis, market research, or related fields.
- Knowledge of Argus is preferred.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Pay
$65,000 - $70,000 annually. Fees may be offset against the monthly base salary and based on completed valuation, advisory, and related services.
