Valuation Associate

Essential Duties

• Prepares sections of the appraisal report for dispute resolution, mortgage underwriting, acquisition/disposition, portfolio analysis and estate purposes.
• Collects and analyzes specific property information including leases, rent rolls, and financial statements.
• Inspects properties with senior staff members and develops skills to complete valuation sections of appraisal reports.
• Develops into preparing complete appraisal reports under the supervision of state certified general appraisers.
• Participates in client meetings and completes formal rebuttal or review response letters.
• Completes coursework to obtain state appraisal license.
• Maintains knowledge of current government regulations, zoning laws, and appraisal standards.
• Uses necessary software programs and maintains familiarity with data sources.

Skills, Education And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in real estate or related fields such as economics and finance.
• Preference for MS or MBA in real estate.
• At least 1-3 years of professional experience in real estate analysis, market research, or related fields.
• Knowledge of Argus is preferred.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Pay

$65,000 - $70,000 annually. Fees may be offset against the monthly base salary and based on completed valuation, advisory, and related services.
