About the role

The Validation Technician will support activities involving the installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and validation of electronic equipment and sub-systems used for monitoring nuclear power levels. This role includes testing, troubleshooting, documenting results, and working closely with engineering and assembly teams to ensure equipment meets functional and customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates, recent graduates, or individuals with hands-on electronics or computer-building experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical testing of components, printed circuit boards, assemblies, and systems.
  • Document test plans, procedures, and test results for assigned jobs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Assembly teams to ensure manufacturing, installation, and operations meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Identify, diagnose, and repair electronic failures at the component level.
  • Support additional technical and validation activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and related applications.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on technical environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits and perform component-level diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) best practices.
  • Experience or exposure to electro-mechanical assembly is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing, PCB testing, and electronic assemblies preferred.
  • Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance concepts.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and test records.
  • Candidates with personal electronics, gaming PC building, robotics, or other technical hobby experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures and specifications.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineering, assembly, and operations teams.

Pay

$24 per hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday – Candidates may choose one of the three available shifts:

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
