Validation Lab Technician

About the role

This role is responsible for conducting performance and durability testing of automotive HVAC and engine cooling components. Duties include setting up HVAC systems and components for testing, diagnosing refrigeration systems, installing instrumentation for temperature, pressure, and flow, interfacing with test systems, executing testing procedures, interpreting test data, troubleshooting and repairing test equipment, cross-training across test lab areas, maintaining a clean work area, and no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up HVAC systems and components for testing
• Diagnose refrigeration systems
• Install instrumentation for temperature, pressure, flow
• Interface with test systems
• Execute testing procedures
• Interpret test data and report issues
• Troubleshoot and repair test equipment
• Cross-train across test lab areas
• Maintain clean work area

Requirements

• AAS in Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent
• 3-5 years automotive experience preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• EPA 608 certification preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluent in English, strong written and verbal skills
• Apply high school math concepts
• Problem solving and data analysis skills

Qualifications
