About the Role
Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Valet Department during a shift. Directly and through subordinates, park and retrieve automobiles for casino guests while ensuring quality guest service at all times.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality guest service by ensuring the Valet Department treats guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Promptly resolve guest complaints
- Assist the Transportation Manager in creating and administering company policies and procedures
- Maintain the integrity of Valet Operations
- Receive and return vehicles from/to guests
- Assist the Transportation Manager with departmental personnel issues
- May be assigned to a Valet Bank
- Ensure the security and accountability of Valet Claim Checks issued to the Valet Department
- Ensure the security and accountability of guests' keys left in the custody of the Valet Department
- Process all transactions through the POS system
- Complete all departmental paperwork necessary for Valet Operations
- Supervise Valet Attendants, including planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1 year of supervisory experience with 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a good driving record
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
