About the role

The Guest Experience Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. This includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner, assisting guests with luggage (including delivery and pick-up during arrival and departure), and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients (25% of time).
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor, using guest last names during interactions.
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests (25% of time).
  • Assists guests with bell services, luggage storage, room presentations, and room changes (20% of time).
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about facility amenities and local attractions (10% of time).
  • Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations.
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival (20% of time).
  • Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys.
  • Completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt.
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work (or within a commutable distance).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One (1) month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Basic arithmetic skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of American money, 24-hour/military time, and time-based rates.
  • Ability to perform parallel parking; operating a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to stand, walk, run, sit, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods.
  • Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

  • The majority of work is performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire duration of a shift.
  • Subject to environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold; protection from weather may be provided but not from temperature changes.
  • Travel of up to 5% may be required.

Pay

The hourly base pay range for this position is $15–$16 per hour plus tips.
