About the Role
The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to guests when they arrive and leave the hotel. Valet Drivers must have strong analytical and navigational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple pick-ups and drop-offs on a schedule under continuously changing circumstances. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide claim checks and instruct guests on how to reclaim their vehicles.
- Park and retrieve guest vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provide travel directions and information on property events and promotions.
- Obey all traffic laws on and off property.
- Promote courteous treatment of customers and resolve guest service issues.
- Ensure minimal wait time for guests by being ready at all times.
- Provide timely and knowledgeable service, always finding solutions to guests' problems.
- Greet arriving and departing guests, offering assistance with doors and luggage (lifting requirement: up to 40 lbs.).
- Wear the company-issued uniform, including name tag, at all times for guest identification.
- Drive guests to designated locations when needed.
- Maintain possession of a radio at all times while on duty; no cell phone usage permitted during shifts.
- Assist with front desk operations as needed.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness: keep company vehicles in good running order, fueled, and clean inside and out.
- Monitor the property, including the lower Main parking lot, and pick up garbage as needed.
- During slow times, assist with keeping the building neat and clean, both inside and out.
