Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Possessing the ability to establish value-added relationships with VACU members, understanding their financial needs, and offering solutions.
  • Promoting the company's products and services through effective selling techniques, ensuring customers see the value and understand the features and benefits.
  • Engaging in customer relationship management activities to increase wallet share per client and seeking cross-referral opportunities to other associates within the bank.
  • Completing required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of fields such as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
  • Educational background equivalent to a four-year college degree, with 2 years of related experience and/or training, and 19 to 23 months of related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Masterful at building relationships with customers.
  • Ability to quickly compile, verify, and calculate information to provide solutions and recommendations.
  • Product knowledge.

About the Role

VACU Investment Group (VACUIG) is expanding its wealth management team throughout Virginia, including Greater Richmond Area, Blacksburg, Roanoke, Harrisonburg, VA Beach, Norfolk, Williamsburg, and Lynchburg. The role of the investment consultant involves establishing value-added relationships with VACU members, understanding their financial needs, and offering solutions for those needs. The candidate will work within the VACU branches, supported by Ameriprise Financial Group (AMPF).
