About the role

The CU Financial Ops Consultant role enhances the settlement and accounting knowledge of all member credit unions by providing training and guidance on converting card programs to Velera's settlement platform.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-conversion analysis of the Member Credit Union general ledger system and map chart of accounts to settlement applications.
  • Act as primary contact for member/owner credit union staff regarding settlement processes and concerns.
  • Prepare/organize/facilitate training plans with all levels of the FI organization, providing daily support post conversion for a minimum of two weeks.
  • Analyze credit unions' chart of accounts and make recommendations on the recording of settlement general ledger accounting.
  • Maintain quality assurance through review of credit union procedures and practices, and make recommendations to minimize financial liability.
  • Ensure credit union staff fully understand the Omaha settlement process and provide guidance in assigning general ledger accounts for the recording of the daily settlement process.
  • Recommend, create, update, and supplement training materials to the Creative Media Services Manager and Training Manager.
  • Respond to open tickets from FIs requesting guidance/assistance on their daily settlement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years Omaha Settlement experience.
  • Three (3) years experience in Visa/MasterCard industry services (credit cards, debit cards, stored value cards, etc).
  • Two (2) years experience in Microsoft Office products with advanced knowledge of Word & Excel.
  • Experience in dealing/communicating with all levels of internal/external organizations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Pay Equity: $54,000.00 - $68,800.00 Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
