Vaccination Crew GL

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Performs water vaccination, carefully mixing vaccines according to procedure and adding to the water supply.
• Carries out spray vaccination, mixing vaccines according to procedure and filling the distribution pack, then moving through the chicken house to spray birds.
• Cleans and maintains vaccine equipment, loading and unloading equipment and supplies into/out of the truck as needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn and understand proper water vaccinating procedures.
• Drives company vehicles to all company farms.
• Works with the vaccination crew when needed.
• Participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues and actively looking for ways to achieve synergy within the organization.

• Familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies).
• Responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems, considering the impact of individual actions on the systems and communicating concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities

• Enters and locates information on a computer.
• Visually verifies information, often in small print.
• Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail.
• Moves about in a broiler/breeder house environment and surrounding property.
• Works in various temperatures, including extreme weather conditions and dark environments.
• Lifts up to 40 lbs.
• Some climbing stairs/ladders.
• Travels via car to various work locations.

• Uses appropriate footwear, hearing protection, and other protective equipment as needed or required.
