About the role
As the underground infrastructure coordinator, you act as the linchpin that ensures smooth collaboration among stakeholders in an increasingly crowded subsurface environment. Your role focuses on organizational and strategic aspects, particularly in the early phases of projects, where you manage external stakeholders, create policy documents, and elevate the importance of underground infrastructure within organizations. You thrive in dynamic settings, bridging technical and non-technical worlds, and enjoy shaping processes from the initiation phase onward.
Affinities with civil projects, energy transition, climate adaptation, and evolving legislation are essential, as you’ll translate complex developments into actionable insights for governments and internal teams. This role demands flexibility, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to navigate diverse interests and drive consensus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine vision and policy for underground infrastructure.
- Coordinate the design of the subsurface in relation to aboveground developments.
- Advise during early project phases, connecting them to other ongoing or upcoming initiatives.
- Build strategic connections with network managers and other stakeholders.
- Translate technical information into clear, accessible language for external parties.
- Ensure timely permitting and licensing processes.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings and organize informational sessions.
- Draft visions, policies, and strategic documents.
- Enhance environmental awareness within organizations.
- Create and maintain stakeholder analyses and dossiers.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess BLVC (Bouwen, Leven, Werken, Cultuur) plans and permit applications.
- Monitor industry developments and translate them for organizational use.
- Build support and consensus within organizations and projects.
Requirements
- HBO/WO degree in civil engineering, construction, or technical business administration.
- Affinities with communication and environmental management.

Pay

Schedule
