About the role

As a collections officer, you will manage your own portfolio of claims, primarily for the Dutch government. You handle cases from start to finish with a personal approach, balancing the interests of both the client and the debtor. You make well-considered decisions while adhering to relevant laws and regulations, client wishes, and the debtor’s circumstances.

We seek colleagues with excellent communication and social skills. You are fluent in Dutch and English and proficient with digital tools. While experience in the collections industry is preferred, we also welcome candidates from other sectors. You have a strong sense of responsibility and remain composed in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of claims, primarily for the Dutch government.
• Handle cases from start to finish with a personal and solution-oriented approach.
• Make balanced decisions considering legal requirements, client needs, and debtor circumstances.
• Communicate effectively with clients, debtors, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements

• MBO 4/HBO-level education and thinking.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to defend your position.
• Driven, solution-oriented, and detail-focused.
• Experience with Credit Navigator (Eurosystems) or Praclox is a plus.
