About the Role

Bombs Away B.V. is an independent consultancy specializing in explosive ordnance detection, operating both domestically and internationally. The company is a leading expert in historical preliminary investigations covering the Conflict Period (1939–1945) and Post-Conflict Period (1945–present), conducting risk analyses of explosive remnants of war across areas ranging from individual fields to entire municipalities and river systems. A key component of this work is the Post-Conflict Period Preliminary Investigation (VNC), which examines post-WWII ground interventions and developments to rule out the presence of explosive remnants of war.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and processing relevant historical data from various sources, including archival research
  • Analyzing relevant historical data
  • Writing reports
  • Delivering presentations

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree at university (WO) or higher professional education (HBO) level
  • Strong command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken
  • Interest in or experience with civil engineering
  • Assertive and able to collaborate effectively
  • Independent and analytically minded
  • Flexible and creative
  • Accurate with the ability to maintain overview at all times
  • A true team player
  • Not satisfied until everything "adds up"
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with QGIS and/or ArcGIS PRO is a plus
