About the role
Perform outstanding guest service on a daily basis. Maintain interdepartmental lines of communication while interacting with guests and resort staff.
Responsibilities
- Follow Star Performance guidelines when answering phone calls, selling room nights, and booking reservations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of room types, locations, layouts, rates, and all package plans and benefits.
- Monitor reservations email, work email, and guest messaging systems regularly.
- Prepare reservation confirmations and add detailed notes as needed.
- Schedule and conduct guest room tours upon request.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of resort amenities, services, and local area offerings.
- Drive additional revenue by offering guests services, activities, rentals, golf, and dinner reservations to guests.
- Process reservation modifications and cancellations in accordance with resort policies.
- Schedule and conduct group and leisure billing, including advance deposits.
- Complete rebook requests according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures, including walk-ins and account settlements.
- Post charges accurately to guest accounts and demonstrate a clear understanding of guest billing.
- Properly handle cash, checks, credit cards, and direct billing requests.
- Create and issue guest room keys.
- Operate POS systems, run daily reports, and balance all transactions.
- Issue employee keys and cash banks in accordance with resort policies and procedures.
- Absorb and respond to emergencies, following established emergency procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby and mailroom areas.
- Promote positive working relationships and effective communication with guests, coworkers, and all departments.
