About the role

The Malta Chamber is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join its team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Malta's leading business representative body, influencing policy and supporting the growth of the private sector.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chamber's policy and advocacy work by monitoring, analysing, and providing input on legislative and regulatory developments at a national and European level.
• Engage with member businesses to understand their concerns and priorities.
• Prepare policy positions, briefs, and consultation responses on key issues affecting the business community.
• Assist in the organisation and execution of events, workshops, and business delegations.
• Contribute to the development of projects and initiatives aimed at supporting business growth and internationalisation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the Chamber's strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a business, policy, or membership organisation.
• Strong understanding of the Maltese and European business and policy landscape.
• Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Economics, Business, Political Science, or a related field.

• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Team player with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
