Responsibilities
- Conduct standardized VA Benefits and Services Briefings
- Participate in one-on-one engagements
- Provide pre-separation counseling support
- Support military life cycle (MLC) events
- Deliver Capstone events
- Offer warm-handover support
- Execute non-event activities at assigned installation
- Attend weekly Site Lead meetings
- Perform quality management activities
- Deliver onsite activities and collect post-event data
Requirements
- Strong inter- and intra-personal communications skills
- Strong personnel management ability
- Extensive operational management skills
- Understanding of VA benefits programs
- Understanding of transitioning Service member populations
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Strong customer management and support skills
- Experience delivering interactive workshops and training to live audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ equivalent work/military experience
- Preferred emphasis in Training, Education, Career Counseling, or HR
- Appropriate certifications
- Understanding of VA benefits programs
- Knowledge of the military and experience working with military clients
- Understanding of current veteran issues and challenges pre- and post-transitions
Benefits
The pay rate for this position is $23.53 per hour plus Health and Wellness benefits.
