About the role
Performs a variety of specialized duties to assure eligible students receive available Veteran educational benefits services; serves as a skilled resource concerning Veteran Programs and Services; reviews, verifies and processes related forms and applications; trains and provides work direction to Veteran’s work-study staff involved with intake and processing of Veteran’s documents.
Schedule
Outside working hours if other than M–F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: M–F 8 a.m.–7 p.m. (sometimes until midnight, occasional Saturdays).
Requirements
- Associates Degree or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training that equates to the required degree.
- Three years of related work experience preferably in post-secondary education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of work experience in a post-secondary institution, including using Information Management Systems – Student Administration Module.
- Three years’ experience working with veterans and VA Programs in higher education.
- Experience in a high-volume customer service unit in a higher education institution.
Licenses and Certifications
- Ability to complete the required VA training requirements within 30 days of hire.
